This is a message from the team that organises Jeans for Genes Day, the national fundraising event for children with genetic disorders.
We are planning to launch a new publicity campaign to promote Jeans for Genes Day in 2017 and would like to find a number of children affected by a genetic disorder to star in our advertising, and our printed and online material.
In order to develop the look and feel of the campaign, we have arranged for a professional photographer to take photos of these children at a studio in London. We are looking to take two types of photo. The first of these is a photo of the child and a parent/carer having fun together. The second is a photo of a number of the children having fun together.
The photoshoots will take place in London on either Tuesday 14 or Thursday 16 February 2017 and we will reimburse all travel costs incurred by families.
• Your name, home address, email address and mobile telephone number.
• The name and age of your child who is affected by a genetic disorder. (Please note that if you have more than one child affected by a genetic disorder, you are welcome to propose all affected children to be photographed.)
• The name of your child’s genetic disorder.
• A photo of your child and the parent/carer who would be happy to be photographed with them.
We will be selecting 10 children and their parent/carer to join us for the photoshoot in London and will let you know by the end of day on Thursday 9th February whether your child has been selected. We have no predetermined criteria for selection. We just need to ensure that we have a range of ages and genetic disorders.
After the photoshoot, our creative agency will chose a number of photos to lead in our advertising, on our website, in our social media and in the printed material we send to Jeans for Genes Day supporters. We cannot make any guarantee in advance that your child will appear in these images as it depends on the shots we are able to take during the photoshoot. We will, however, create a CD of the images taken of your child and their parent/carer during the photoshoot that we can release to you on 1st October 2017, once this year’s Jeans for Genes Day campaign is over.
Thank you very much for your consideration and we look forward to seeing all the wonderful photos of your children!
