LPUK 7th

Members of Little People UK had a great time at the recent birthday celebration in Milton Keynes.

We had a fantastic game of bowling followed by Quizingo and a 1960's themed disco and buffet.

It was lovely to see so many people, new and older members. It seems everyone had a great time celebrating 7 fantastic years of LPUK.

We are already looking forward to the 8th Annual Convention on 23rd to 25th August, at Nottingham Belfry, and of course another great year for LPUK.

question mark

We have received a number of enquiries to LPUK from students around the country, interested in designing products for people with dwarfism.

Please see these below and feel free to respond where possible.

In recent months LPUK have been developing a campaign to raise awareness of social issues which can affect people with dwarfism.

The first issue we are highlighting is the inappropriate behaviour of filming and taking photographs of people with dwarfism, without their permission. To do this we have produced a short film and accompanying press release. We have uploaded the video to our website (via YouTube) for you to share.

After seeking professional advice we will soon distribute the press release to news outlets, with the aim of reaching a wider audience, to get our message out there and hopefully make a positive difference. In the mean time, please help us by sharing the video.

Peterborough Biscuit

Last week Little People UK volunteers attended the second annual Peterborough Biscuit event, we had a great time meeting lots of people and making some important contacts, for Little People UK and its future projects.

The Peterborough Biscuit is an event held at the East of England Showground and is a showcase of the excellent businesses operating within a 40 mile radius of the city. This year Little People UK were lucky to be chosen as one of three charity partners, along with; Action Medical Research for Children for Children and deafblind UK

Throughout the course of the day we met with a variety of businesses to discuss our charity, increase reach within the wider community, whilst also raising awareness of dwarfism. There were also several kind donations given to us during the day, which will go a long way to helping Little People UK support people with dwarfism.

Huge thank you to Peterborough Biscuit for organising such a great event, and for allowing LPUK to be one of your chosen charities, we look forward to hopefully attending the event next year.
