The past 18 months has been very difficult for everyone especially Charity funding. Due to some great Fundraising and Donations, we have managed to break even and maintain our 2 years reserves and kept our available funds to subsidise this event and events next year.

Detailed audited accounts for 2019/2020 are available on the Charities Commission website and audited accounts for 2020/2021 will be uploaded when audit is complete. A PDF of the 20/21 cash book is available on request. Once again, thank you all for your continued support.

We now need to vote on these accounts? Can we have a proposer?

Modesta Okafor

Can we have a seconder?

Annabelle Davis

Finally, a vote from the membership present.

Next we have an update of LPUK for the past 2 years;

5. Review from the chair:

This was the Co-Vice Chairs Year Review read at the LPUK 2021 Event:

The past 18 months has been unexpected for us all and we feel Little People UK were quick to adapt and move lots of our activities online. Throughout 2020 and the beginning of this year, we have been able to continue to deliver on our key objectives throughout the COVID 19 pandemic by our weekly online Zoom Quizzes along with monthly Book Club, Film Club, Glad Rags, Cooking and Travel, we also held our first ever virtual Christmas Party and a couple of whole activity days.

We took all of our committee meetings online and were able to achieve lots during this time, one of the main projects we are really proud of is the online module for new and training Midwives which we completed for the Royal College of Midwives. Further to this we have made closer connections with other organisations around the world such as DSAuk and LPA.

During this time we also took the opportunity to reinforce structure as an organisation, reviewing & amending our policies , developing a more in-depth Business Plan to cover the next few years of our development and progression, and we have developed a robust process for the supervision, support and personal development of our charity administrator Rebecca.

Thanks to the support of our members we were able to deliver our Hello Box to our members who were isolating during the pandemic and also maintain our funds throughout the year due to some of our fantastic fundraisers.

In the next 12 months we look to develop our membership database, continue holding our online sessions, whilst also arranging some in-person events and continue to overcome the challenges of the pandemic.
If anyone has any ideas on what they would like LPUK to cover in the coming years, please do let us know. It is important to us that we listen to our members, provide what they are requesting and support people in the best way possible.

On a more personal note, myself (Emma) and Simeon would like to say a massive thank you to all our committee for the continuing hard work and dedication they have given to the charity and will continue to do in the future.
