A great time was had on Saturday, at LPUK’s first ever one day workshop, the day was full of activities and thought provoking discussions to help identify and deal with the build up of stress.
We briefly learnt the different types of mental health issues and we learnt and discussed how stress can build up with individuals, as a result of different situations, including the process which occur in the human body in such situations, leading to stress. Further to this we learnt and participated in some simple techniques to manage the build of stress including some very useful mindfulness and relaxation exercises.
The small group made for a relaxing atmosphere, where everyone was free to talk in an open, safe environment. All participants joined in discussions and everyone left with some of the basic tools to identify and manage stress. Everyone is looking forward to a development workshop in the near future.
Huge thank you to Dr. Donna Walters and Mrs Nichola Garde for arranging and leading the workshop.
