Massive thank you also to all the stars of Star Wars who there over the weekend including; Warwick Davis, Annabelle Davis, Julian Glover, Hugh Spight, John Simpkin and others, many people came to visit these stars.

We really appreciate the support you provide to Little People UK each year with this fantastic fundraiser, and we are already looking forward to the event next year.

DerbyshireRepresentatives of Little People UK recently held an awareness raising and training session at a location for Sensory and Physical Support in Derbyshire. The session was attended to by a number of people who support children in schools, such as: specialist teachers who have or may have a child with dwarfism within their case load e.g. principal teachers (of the child with dwarfism) teacher of the deaf, manual handling advisors and teacher for physical and sensory impairment. Along with a few parents of children with dwarfism from the area.

medical panel

Over the past few years Little People UK have been delighted to welcome a number of medical professionals at our convention for our Medical Panel. These Medical Panels are proving popular year on year, and growing to include professionals from a wide range of specialities with regards to the various forms of dwarfism.

At the 5th Annual Convention we recorded the Medical Panel, to allow us to share this with members who were not able to attend. Here we have all of the recordings of discussions which took place.

The Welsh 3000 logo

This weekend LPUK members James Hays and Gavin Beer will be tackling 'The Welsh 3000s' to raise funds and awareness for LPUK.

James and Gavin are undertaking this task to raise funds for LPUK, as James’ daughter, Gavin’s granddaughter, Eden, has Achondroplasia. So far they have raised over £900.

They have been in training over the last few months getting ready for their challenge, and with only a few days left are undertaking some last minute training. More information can be found on their 'Current Fundraisers page'.

Huge thank you and good luck to James and Gavin, we really do appreciate all the support!
