We are currently doing a project for the English Federation of Disability Sports to help them understand how to better support people with a range of disabilities to volunteer.
We’re looking for some people speak to about their experiences or interest in volunteering. We’re happy to offer £25 cash / donation (a disability charity of your choosing) to say thank you for your time.
If you volunteer now, used to, or are simply interested, and would be happy to speak to a researcher about your experiences and thoughts please get in touch!
The person to speak to is Charlie Mealings, who can be reached on:
Tel: 020 7735 8040 / 07976 944736
We expect the conversation to be informal, last for up to 1 hour and can be over the phone or Skype. We’re happy to be flexible to what would make you feel comfortable to take part. If you let us know if you have any requests – such as having someone else on the call too, or seeing some of the questions beforehand – we’ll happily find a way to do this.
Please don’t feel you need to have had a wealth of experience (or any!) in sport or volunteering. It’s just as fascinating to us to hear about why people haven’t been involved with these things, as to hear about why they have.
Who are the researchers?
We are Revealing Reality, a research agency based in London, UK. We do a lot of work to help a range of organisations to better understand what it’s like to live with different conditions (e.g. cancer, arthritis, diabetes, mental health) or to use particular services (e.g. support services, making complaints).
We are a small company, with 15 researchers, who are passionate about helping improve how organisations support people to live a better life. We have done lots of work with companies such as BBC, Macmillan Cancer Support, Google and Money Advice Service.
