On 25th & 26th April Little People UK volunteers visited NEC in Birmingham, for the Naidex 2018 event.
We were able to meet many new useful companies, organisations and charities who can support LPUK and it’s members in the future.
Naidex is a two day event where lots of different organisations and companies, have exhibition stands to present their information which is suitable for people with a wide range of disabilities. There was information on adapted toilets, kitchens and cars, advice and support regarding jobs and school, details on services available such as; training for handling and caring, Physiotherapists and Orthotics, along with a number of speakers covering a wide range of topics, appealing to the disabled community.
Little People UK gathered lots of information which we hope will help support our members. We are looking forward to next years event, where we will have an exhibition stand to raise awareness of dwarfism and Little People UK, whilst also giving us the opportunity to visit other exhibition stands to gather even more information.
We will soon be writing our Top Ten Tips of Naidex organisations, companies, equipment and charities.
