Residents of Horeston Grange will be holding a Craft and Charity Spring Fair on Sunday 8th April, 2017.
Funds will be raised for LPUK by Tammy and Steve Harcourt, along with Jenny Ridgewell.
For more information see below -
Help LPUK raise funds by completing and returning a Gift Aid form. Gift Aid is reclaimed by the charity from the tax you pay for the current tax year.
For every £1 donated by you LPUK receive 25p from the government.
Although this doesn't sound much, when received from EVERY donation it soon mounts up to being a substantial amount. You only have to complete the form once, and every donation you make after this will count.
Once again Genetic Disorders UK - Leadership Symposium was a fantastic event. Where we heard from a number of different speakers, each giving their own experience on issues which affect our charities and help us support our members.
The weekend allowed for great networking and gathering some useful advice on running a charity, and developing it in the future.
As with previous years the weekend started with a welcome dinner on Friday evening, giving members of all charities present chance to network, reconnect with people and gain contacts that could be useful in the future.
A great time was had at Disability Peterboroughs: Disability Awareness Month, raising awareness of LPUK and dwarfism.
Huge thank you to the Serpentine Green and Inspire Peterborough for organising the event and inviting LPUK to take part.
The event is taking place during the whole month of March, where there has been, and will continue to be, a number of charities, support groups and organisations raising awareness of their particular disability and highlighting the services available in Peterborough.
LPUK volunteers went along to the day and spoke to many people, to raise awareness of the support we provide and increase the profile of people with dwarfism in the wider community. The day was a great success and we look forward to attending more in the future.
If you are interested in learning what other services are available in Peterborough, the event is continuing throughout March and more details can be found on their Facebook page.
