At this years Little People UK convention back in October, we had the pleasure of sharing a hotel with Southampton Football Club.
Some of our audacious members managed to approach some of the team for a selfie and an autograph. The team were kind enough to sign a football that we are now putting up for auction to raise money for our fantastic charity.
Please visit eBay to take part in this auction.
Help raise funds for LPUK during the Christmas period.
Little People UK are hugely grateful to everyone who has raised funds for us, as LPUK relies solely on funds raised, to help us provide the support and friendship we aim to offer.
Over the Christmas period there are a number of different ways you can fundraise easily.
Thanks to 1 Accounts Online for helping fundraise for Little People UK over October. Paul Donno, owner of 1 Accounts Online, who’s daughter Katie has hypochondroplsia, has dedicated every October to Dwarfism Awareness Month, by donating an amount of each set up fee, for every business who signs up with them in October to LPUK, and has so far raised £300. More information can be found on their website blog.
If you own a business and would like to set up a similar initiative, please don't hesitate to get in touch and we can provide support in getting something started.
Awareness of LPUK will be raised up and down the motorways thanks to CPT Distribution Ltd, who have added the LPUK logo to one of their trucks.
CPT Distibution Ltd have done this on the request of one of their drviers, Carl Ward and his wife Laura, who's daughter, Jessica Jane, has Achondroplasia. They contacted Doug at Huston Ltd to do this for them who kindly offered to do this at a reduced rate. Jessica and her family have been long supporters of LPUK and wanted to help raise awareness.
Paul from CPT Distribution Ltd said: "It has been an emotional morning for us and very happy with how it looks!"
Thanks to everyone who has helped with this project, we hope it will help raise awareness of LPUK throughout the country.
