Bristol Christmas meet upMembers have organised a family Christmas meet up on Sunday 9th December, at 12pm, meeting at The Mall, Cribbs Causeway for an afternoon and evening of winter fun!

Starting at The Mall, Cribbs Causeway, where there will be an opportunity to spend time at Winter Wonderland which includes Ice Skating on the largest outdoor ice rink in the South West, Santas Enchanted Ice Grotto and Vintage Fairground Rides.

For those more interested in shopping than skating, The Mall is an ideal place with lots of different stores.

After that we will head over the road to Hollywood Bowl before lastly sitting down to eat in the evening.

Would be great to catch up with everyone and have some fun before Christmas.

Please let us know if you want to come along.
We'd love to see you before Christmas for a festive get together!
Nottingham Christmas meet up

I am a 15 year old GCSE Product Design student at Malmesbury Secondary School. As part of my project I am designing something to help people complete tasks around the house with dwarfism, especially achondroplasia. I am interested in designing something for people with dwarfism because I do not believe there are many products on the market that meet their needs. In order to generate suitable concepts, I need to carry out research on my clientele. I have a few questions that would greatly help me complete my research and design something that would help people with dwarfism.

Little People UK have developed a video to raise awareness of the attention people with dwarfism, and disablities face in everyday situtations.

People with disabilities, in particular those with dwarfism, encounter looks and stares from people, it's human nature. Children in particular find little people fascinating, often reacting quite vocally. Out of embarrassment, parents try to defuse the situation, but this isn't always in a positive way, which then makes children 'scared' of people who are different. When they only wanted to be treat like everyone else.

Little People UK would like to raise awareness and help people initiate a conversation instead of just staring.
