Following the current rise of COVID-19 cases, the Little People UK (LPUK) Committee have released the following statement regarding our activities in the coming months:

In light of recent Government and World Health Organisation (WHO) guidelines, Little People UK committee, staff and volunteers will not be attending any external events for the remainder of March and the whole of April, at least. This includes fundraising events, awareness events, school visits, community meetings and all other planned activities.

The LPUK Committee will reassess the situation in the coming months and will likely extended this further until June.

This decision has not been taken lightly and we are sorry to disappoint anyone who was expecting our attendance, however we feel it is important to follow the guidelines set out to us, to ensure we protect everyone within the community.

We thank you for your kind support and we will continue to attend events once recommended to do so. All information of rescheduled and future events will be available on our website.

All the best,

LPUK Committee.

My Daughter is currently in her final year at Demontford University in Leicester studying Fashion design.

She is restricted in growth and is creating a brand and clothing line for people with restricted growth as she knows the challenges they face.

For her final Year 3 project she will require models to show the line first in Leicester then in London for London Fashion week.

Dates models required

  • 17th March (1model)
  • 20th March (the same one plus one more = 2 models)
  • 27th March (the same ones plus one more = 3 models)
  • 2nd/3rd April availability but not sure how many will be needed
  • 17th April (same 3 models)

Can you help? Please get in touch if you can.

Naidex title

We know many of you were planning on visiting Naidex next week, so we wanted to let you know that the event has been postponed - please see statement below.

Naidex 2020 and All Co-Located Events Rescheduling Due to Coronavirus

The organiser of leading independent living show Naidex (17th-18th March 2020, NEC Birmingham), has been closely monitoring updates on the spread of the COVID-19 Coronavirus.Like many large event organisers, the health and safety of our visitors, exhibitors and staff is always our number one priority. This is particularly pertinent in the care and health sector communities that Naidex brings together. Many of our visitors are, or are on the frontline of supporting, the most vulnerable in society. This combined with the fact that health and social care workers will be critical to ongoing containment and management strategies, means that we have taken the decision to reschedule Naidex to later in the year and will confirm this date by Monday 16th March 2020. This will include all events co-located with Naidex including Smart Home for Assisted Living, Dementia, Care & Nursing Home Expo, Home Care Expo, Care Tech Live, European Neuro Convention, Medical Imaging Convention, European Oncology Convention and AI&ML Convention. While this is not a decision that has been taken lightly, we feel that it is the right one - not just for the care and health sector but for the wider community as a whole. We are of course, in ongoing communication with our exhibitors, speakers, partners and suppliers. Those we have managed to speak to thus far have been exceptionally understanding. If you are affected and the team hasn’t managed to reach you yet, please know that we will be in touch very shortly. Alternatively, please contact the event team directly at This email address is being protected from spambots. On the weekend of 22nd February 2020, LPUK held our 8th Birthday Celebration. We were delighted to welcome some old faces, along with lots of new members, to a evening of food, bingo and disco.

Many of our members turned up sometime during the day with many going to Milton Keynes Xscape, to have some fun time of their own, others stopped in the hotel with the chance to socialise and catch up with others. The buffet was served from 6pm, followed by the regular LPUK bingo, and raffle. We then had a great disco which continued until 1am and was enjoyed by many of our younger members. All in all the weekend was great fun and enjoyed by many.

We look forward to seeing everyone at next event.

Details of all LPUK events can be found via our Calendar of Events

A huge thankyou to everyone who came, we love to hear feedback of your weekend, to help us improve for future events. You can complete our survey to give your input. This can be found here
