Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of Little People UK will be held at Chesford Grange Hotel on Saturday 20th August 2022 at 12pm.
- Agree minutes from last AGM – the minutes from the 2021 AGM have been available all year and will be available all weekend for your perusal. At the meeting a vote will be taken on whether these minutes will be agreed.
- Report and Accounts – to receive the accounts and reports of the trustees for the year ended 31 May 2021 and 2022.
- Constitution – to adopt the new family membership option. Details of this accompany this AGM agenda.
- Election of Officers –
- To elect Chair
- To elect Vice Chair
- To elect Treasurer
- Election of Trustees –
- To elect any trustees
- Thanks to retiring trustees
- Members question – a possibility for the membership to ask questions. Questions discussed MUST be sent in prior to the AGM itself.

Below is the possible amendment to the constitution regarding the membership types
CURRENT MEMBERSHIP TYPES OUTLINED IN THE CONSTITUTION
(b) Types of membership
Individual (Full) membership is available to:
I. A person over the age of 18 who has dwarfism
II. A full member is entitled for election onto the LPUK committee
III. A full member may attend General Meetings and is entitled to vote
Individual (Youth) membership:
I. A child who has dwarfism up to the age of 18.
II. Once a youth member reaches the age of 18, they can apply for an Individual (full) membership
III. A youth member may attend meetings, but may not vote unless they are on the committee. A dispensation may be given by the committee allowing youth members aged 12 or over to vote on issues that relate to them (for example, the election of Youth Representatives).
Associate membership:
I. This includes:
(1) Parents/guardians
(2) Siblings
(3) Children
(4) Grandparents
(5) Spouse
(6) Extended family and friends
of a person with dwarfism.
II. Associate members are entitled for election on to the LPUK committee, but must be nominated by a current full member.
III. All may attend General Meetings, but may not vote unless they qualify.
Organisation membership:
I. Individuals and organisations whose experience or specialist knowledge would make a positive contribution to the CIO.
II. An Organisation member must be nominate by a current full member
III. An Organisation member may attend General Meetings, but are not entitled to vote at a general meeting.
ADDITION TO MEMBERSHIP TYPES
Family membership:
- Includes every individual person living in one household
- Each person with dwarfism over the age of 18 will be classed as an Individual (full) member and be entitled to vote
- Each person with dwarfism under the age of 18 will be classed as an Individual (youth) member
- Other persons within this membership will be classed as Associate members
