Guidance notes:

What is an AGM?

The AGM is a formal meeting of Little People UK, legally required by the Charity Commission to vote on LPUK’s governing board (the committee), receive an update and agree the accounts for the previous financial year (where necessary) and vote on any constitution changes (the constitution is LPUK’s governing document). During this meeting we will ask you to vote on decisions. We will require proposers and seconders for each question, followed by a full membership vote. A majority in agreement is required to ensure we comply with the legal requirement and allow LPUK to progress for another year.

Who can vote?

Every full member (LP) over 18 in each household shall have one vote, regardless of the number of full members within the household. If the full member (LP) is under 18, one other member of the household can vote on their behalf.
