We are thrilled and deeply honoured to have been selected as one of the official charities by the Mayor of Newport, Kate Thomas, during her term in office from May 2025 to May 2026, alongside Book Trust Cymru. This recognition is an incredible opportunity for Little People UK to raise awareness, engage the community, and support the vital work we do across the region.
Recently, our team had the pleasure of attending the Mayor’s fundraising committee meeting, where we were delighted to learn about the diverse range of events planned over the next 12 months. From fun community activities to more formal gatherings, there are plenty of ways for supporters to get involved.
Some of the exciting events include the annual duck race, a fun quiz night, and the prestigious gala dinner. We eagerly look forward to participating in these events and continuing to attend committee meetings to stay actively engaged in the planning process.
